At Silt Coffee Company, we are guided by a single goal: to offer our community a great cup of local coffee, a table to gather around, and a place to grow. It is essential to us that we remember the land to which we are connected and celebrate that through our meals together. Our food and coffee is designed to evoke memories of time spent on or near the Potomac River with friends and family, and to that end we make sure to locally source our ingredients for our coffee and food.

Silt is the unsung hero of natural processes. Silty soil is usually more fertile than other types of soil, meaning it is good for growing crops. Silt promotes water retention and air circulation, and in many parts of the world, agriculture has thrived in river deltas where silt deposits are rich, and along the sides of rivers where annual floods replenish silt.
Silt Coffee Co. is located in the heart of Hagerstown, Maryland, in an area fed by the Potomac River. We understand firsthand the importance of Silt and how it's unseen presence brings life to our area. That is what inspired the name silt; the desire to bring life and growth to our community through amazing coffee and fantastic food.

Our desire for Silt is to reflect our love for our community through creatively designed coffee and food that is lovingly crafted to nourish our hearts, souls, and bodies. It is essential to us that we remember the land to which we are connected and celebrate that through our shared meals and coffee.
